Reasons For Impotence No Man Wants To Discuss

What do you think is the least favorite thing for any man to do? Dishes? Housework? Diaper changing duty? How about sitting around and talking about his feelings? For most men, discussing emotions is like doing housework - he'd rather put it off for as long as possible, if he ever does it at all. But when talking about impotence, it's important for men to realize the connection between the two. Yes, men can experience impotence because of emotional problems they're having that affect them in the bedroom.

One of the reasons that this may be a difficult thing for men to discuss is because most are taught from a young age that a "real man" can perform sexually anytime, anywhere, and that any type of emotional problems or concerns reveal a weakness on his part. To think that emotional concerns are actually affecting him to the point of non performance can mean an affront on his manhood itself.

But despite what society or certain cultures or the entertainment industry might have people believe, men do too have emotions and feelings and these can affect him sexually even to the point of experiencing impotence. For example, some men can be very frustrated and angry over what they perceive to be unfair treatment at their place of employment, lack of advancement opportunities, a difficult boss, and so on. Anger is an emotion, and when it's pent up inside without any reasonable outlet it can distract a man to the point of experiencing impotence. Some men also feel detached from their wife after children come along and she is suddenly distracted with caring for them, and the husband can easily feel as if he's now second place - or third place, or fourth. That resentment and feelings of neglect can spill over into the bedroom and cause him to experience sexual dysfunction even to the point of sexual non performance.

Of course the reasons for this problem can go even deeper than that. Men who were abused as children, who had very poor attitudes about sexual relations taught to them while they were growing up, or who have unrealistic and idealized thoughts about how a woman should look or how sex should feel can also having lingering problems that cause impotence.

There are many physical causes for this problem are too many to discuss in any detail here such as, any damage to the genital regions, a blockage of the flow of blood to the penis, poor blood circulation, and problems such as these can also be factors. But if a man has been checked out physically and has not health reasons for his impotence then he may need to start checking out another area of his body - the one above his neck. Emotional issues, marital problems, lingering trauma from past abuse, and inappropriate attitudes toward sex are probably not any man's idea of fun conversation topics, but if it means addressing this problem once and for all, and enjoying a healthy and satisfying sex life, then it's obviously worth it.
